To understand why you need to fund issue 2 of Blazer! on Kickstarter you need to ask yourself some questions…
Who created The77 comic? Why 77? How is it related to the 2000AD comic anthologies? What is the difference between comic books in the US and the UK?
These questions and more are answered as Mark Baumgarten and Vicky Jakubowski interview UK comic book legend Steve MacManus, The77’s Annual creator Steve “Bully” Bull & editor-in-chief Benjamin Conan Cullis aka Benksy. So go out there and get Blazed!

MISSING ISSUE TWO OF BLAZER! FOUND IN ABANDONED HGV!
The77 Publications have announced the surprise discovery of issue two of Blazer!, the anthology comic which disappeared during transit forty-seven years ago.
Publishing director Ben Cullis states, “This is the most important discovery for British comics since copies of issue one of Blazer! were unearthed in a warehouse in Singapore.”
Scottish HGV driver Big Jim McAlpine takes up the story. “I wis driving mah rig loaded wi’ th’ entire print run fur a dunderheided kids’ comic whin ah wis enveloped in a bricht light ‘n’ th’ neist thing ah knew we wur floating skywards!”
Ufologist Jeremy Darwin comments, “Clearly, this was an extra-terrestrial abduction event, with McAlpine and his rig being levitated by a tractor beam. But quite why a seventeen stone, darts-playing Terran from Kilbride should have been chosen for examination by aliens remains a mystery.”
“The scabby lavvy heids turned ma bahookie ben oot,” recalls the mortified McAlpine. “Th’ neist thing ah knew, ah wis back wi’ ma rig oan th’ motorway, ainlie tae fin’ that ’twas 2021! Weel, ah hoofed it hame straecht awa’, afore th’ scunners cuid git me again!”
Fellow The77 director Dave Heeley has since confirmed that issue two of Blazer! will be available to purchase from February 2022. “It’s hot and ready to trot!” he said, noting sadly the temporary absence of Domenica’s Ring from the issue, with The Tinkling Triangles apparently having been drafted in to fill the space.
