Sunrise Comic Con is back, earlier this year than usual, and MarkWHO42’s Universe is joining them for a third year in a row!!! That’s right, MarkWHO42 is running 3 Doctor Who panels at Sunrise Comic Con 2023, celebrating Doctor Who‘s 60th Anniversary!!!

SPECIAL GUESTS:
Adrian Ropp has worked in the entertainment industry for over 27 years. His first major projects were working as a storyboard artist on the animated films “The Princess and the Pea” and “The Velveteen Rabbit”. After that, he turned his knowledge of story and cartooning to Disney, where he worked on various projects for Toy Story 3, Cars 2 and Bolt. He was head of story for the acclaimed video game series Disney Infinity, where he served as the lead story artist for Monsters University, Cars, Avengers, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens – the latter of which garnered him an Honorary Membership to the 501st Legion, an officially sanctioned Star Wars cosplay group.
Adrian is also a prolific comic book artist and writer, having worked on Pink Panther, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Underdog, Rocky and Bullwinkle and Archie Comics. This earned him a membership in the National Cartoonist Society. He continues to develop new comic book work and enjoys speaking with young artists about their art!

Martin Pierro began his entertainment career at the age of 12 by publishing a comic fanzine titled “Metropolis Times” (later renamed “Cosmic Times”). During the following years he never lost his love for comics, yet he studied and worked in other areas of the entertainment industry such as live theater, video, music, television, and film. In 2008 he returned to his first love – comics – bringing his vast knowledge of the entertainment industry to his current work in the field of comic book production. Martin is the owner/publisher of Cosmic Times and has guided the company from being an underground-publisher of black & white comics to becoming an international comic book publisher, that continues to strive to create the best and most diverse stories possible. - Whovian’s Confessions (11:00am – Panel Room E): Come Whovians, one and all, to the church of Papal Mainframe! You won’t be judged, you’re amongst friends. Make friends with other whovians by confessing the sins of how much you love Doctor Who and what made you a Whovian. Open up your confession dials and get ready to geek out!
- It all started out with a mild curiosity in a Junkyard… (12:30pm – Panel Room A): 2023 marks 60 years since the beginning of Doctor Who! From Daleks and Cybermen to Marie Antoinette and Vincent Van Gogh, join MarkWHO42 as they go through the past, present, and future of the longest running Sci-Fi series of all time, Doctor Who!
- RTD2 (2:30pm – Panel Room A): They’re back!!! What has been thought to be impossible has occurred! David Tennant returns as The Doctor with Russell T Davies as showrunner! It has been quite a while since this tag team had graced our screens, so join MarkWHO42 as they press rewind and look back at the the 1st RTD era of Doctor Who!
Plus Food Vendors and a plethora of vendor tables including our own markwho42 Books, selling Doctor Who books and DVDs and lots of other science fiction merchandise! It’s our going out of business sale and everything must go!!!!!
